Sonics' Plans Dependent On Trail Blazers' Choice

In the SEATTLE POST-INTELLIGENCER, Gary Washburn writes “now that the Sonics have the opportunity to vastly improve their team with the second pick in the June 28 draft, the club's brass must formulate a plan to fill gaping needs and deal with the free agency of forward Rashard Lewis. The biggest question for the Sonics, which will not be answered until the evening of June 28, is whether the Portland Trail Blazers, who own the No. 1 pick, will select Ohio State center Greg Oden or Texas forward Kevin Durant. So the Sonics are left to plan for both scenarios and time is not plentiful.”
