Belarus jails rights activist for tax evasion

MINSK (Reuters) - A Belarusian court on Thursday sentenced leading human rights activist Ales Belyatsky to 4 1/2 years in prison on tax evasion charges in a case that the European Union has condemned as politically motivated.
