Lebanon gives absent Islamist leader life sentence

BEIRUT (Reuters) - A Lebanese military court sentenced Islamist militant leader Omar Bakri Mohammed, banned from Britain, and 21 others to life in prison for carrying out "terrorist acts," a judicial source said on Friday.
